PORTSMOUTH, Ohio –- Wednesday, Sept. 17, Shawnee State University’s annual Fall Bear Run took place as 599 individuals, both runners and walkers, took part in the 39th edition of the event.When the dust settled, Eli Gerlach, of Portsmouth, took home the prize as the top runner for the second straight Bear Run as his time of 15:19 minutes bested second-place finisher Brad Liston by 21 seconds en route to sweeping both the Spring and Fall editions of the Bear Run in 2014.
