The First Financial Bank in Wilmington was robbed Saturday morning.

Wilmington Police Chief Duane Weyand said Monday afternoon there is nothing new to report on the case. No one has been arrested in connection with the robbery.

The brick bank, which is located across from the Wilmington College campus, was entered by a male suspect who demanded money, Weyand said Saturday at the scene.

The suspect was wearing a gray hoodie and a mask, the police chief said.

At least initially, the suspect is believed to have fled on foot.

The robbery occurred about 10 a.m. Saturday at the bank that sits at the busy confluence of Fife and Rombach avenues.

Weyand declined to say whether the suspect was reported to have a gun.

The chief of police asked that anyone who saw anything to call the Wilmington Police Department at 382-3833.

The suspect left with an undisclosed amount of money.
