FWD Energy and Recyclables of Ohio, commercial tire recycler, will lease a 21,000-square-foot facility near the village of Haverhill. FWD Energy and Recyclables produces fuel products and other industrial commodities in an energy efficient and sustainable manner.
Lawrence County received a $400,000 Community Development Block Grant to help FWD Energy and Recyclables purchase machinery and equipment for the new facility. The company will also make improvements to the currently vacant facility, and has committed to create 18 jobs as a result of the project.
“Working with local officials, we’re helping businesses grow,” said David Goodman, director of the Ohio Development Services Agency.
The Community Development Block Grant Program is administered by the Ohio Development Services Agency’s Office of Community Development.
