* The First Church of Christ, 1224 Dogwood Ridge Road, Wheelersburg, will host a Bible workshop “Angels and Demons” on Saturday, Feb. 13. Dr. Johnny Pressley, chairman of the Theology Department and Professor of Theology at Cincinnati Christian University, will be speaker. The first session will start at 11 a.m. Saturday and the second session will begin at 1:30 p.m. The topic will be “Angels and Demons.” Soup and sandwiches will be served for lunch on Saturday.

Dr. Pressley will lead Sunday school at 9:30 a.m. and will preach during the worship service at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 14.

Dr. Pressley has 32 years as a full-time Professor of Theology, Ethics, Apologetics, New Testament. He has been at Cincinnati Christian University since 1990. Since moving to Cincinnati (1990-present), he now focuses on supply and interim preaching, lecture series, and conference and retreat speaking in 23 States and Canada.

* Community of Christ 2237 Russell Avenue West Portsmouth will be led in their 10:30 AM Morning Worship Service on Sunday February 14 by the youth of the congregation as Youth Ministries Day is celebrated throughout the World Church with the weekly theme of “Sojourn in the Wilderness.” The service is being developed by Elder Vick Bloomfield with Priest Luanne Day presenting the musical selections. Evan Green will bring forth the Morning Message and all youth will present readings and prayers as the saints also begin the Lenten journey on this the first Sunday of Lent. There will be no Subway Sunday before the service. On Wednesday February 17 Jessica Lincecum, Rachael McGraw and Trevor Lincecum will host the West Portsmouth Community of Christ youth Valentine Party at the branch with festivities starting at 6 PM. There will be crafts, games and lots of fellowship for the Lord. The Lady Saints will hold their annual Rummage/Bake Sale on Saturday March 5 from 9AM-3PM in the church basement.
