Dyer 65th Anniversary


Mr. and Mrs. Homer C. “Bud” Dyer, Jr., of Portsmouth, celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary Monday, February 22, 2016. Mr. Dyer and the former Wavel Wright were married on that date in 1951 by the late Rev. Sanuel Sedzoil at Calvary Baptist Church in Portsmouth. Mrs. Dyer is a daughter of the late Van and Maxine Wright, and Mr. Dyer is a son of the late Homer and Ada Dyer. He is retired as a carpenter from Goodyear Atomic Corp. Mrs. Dyer is retired as a switchboard operator at Mercy Hospital. The Dyers are parents of five children, Martha Jane Cremeans, John Alan Dyer (Amy) of Cheaspeak, Va., Joseph Lee Dyer Deceased, Jeffrey Paul Dyer of Portsmouth, Oh., and James Brian Dyer deceased. The have 10 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
