Scioto County roadwork schedule


Craig J. Opperman P.E., Scioto County Engineer, announced the work schedule for the week of July 6th,

2015 through July 10th, 2015 for his office.

ROAD CLOSURE

Shumway Hollow (TR-234) in Harrison Township continues to be closed through the duration of the construction activities of the new Portsmouth Bypass (SR-823). It will not be opened until the new, relocated Shumway Hollow is constructed. A barricade and proper “no outlet” signage will be placed on the east end of Shumway Hollow at the railroad right-of-way averting any thru traffic. A turnaround will be constructed at the west end of Shumway Hollow where the construction limits begin allowing traffic to safely turn around and take an alternate route. The new, relocated Shumway Hollow will not be open until spring of 2019.

Bennett School House – South Webster Road (CR-12) in Harrison Township at the 2.16 mile marker will be closed Monday, July 6th through Thursday, July 9th day and night. The location of the closure is between Glades Road and Taylor Hill Road. County Engineer’s Crew will be installing 3-sided concrete culvert.

Glendale Road (CR-549) in Jefferson Township will be closed Tuesday, July 7th from 7:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. The location of the closure is between Lucasville – Minford Road and State Route 139. County Engineer’s crew will be repairing the roadway.

LANE RESTRICTIONS

Houston Hollow – Long Run Road (CR-159) in Jefferson and Clay Townships will be having lane restrictions Monday, July 6th through Thursday, July 9th from 7:30A.M. to 5:30 P.M. each day, between the top of the hill to State Route 139. Mike Enyart and Sons will be repairing and resurfacing the roadway for the Scioto County Sanitary Engineer’s Department.

Maple Benner Road CR-64) in Clay Township will be having lane restrictions Monday, July 6th through Thursday, July 9th from 7:30 A.M. to 5:30 P.M. each day, between State Route 139 and Douthat Road. Mike Enyart and Sons will be repairing and resurfacing the roadway for the Scioto County Sanitary Engineer’s Department.

Lucasville – Minford Road (CR-28) in Jefferson Township at the 1.379 and 2.713 mile markers will be having lane restrictions Wednesday, July 8th. County Engineer’s crew will be repairing the roadway.

MOWING

Upper Twin Creek – Rocky Fork Road in Brush Creek and Nile Townships.

Rocky Fork Road in Brush Creek Township.

Rarden Creek Road in Rarden Township.

Lucasville – Minford Road in Jefferson, Madison and Valley Townshps.

Frederick Road in Bloom and Harrison Townships.

Salem Road, Brame Road and White Gravel – McDaniel Road in Madison Township.
