* North Moreland Christian Baptist Church will be having Vacation Bible School starting Sunday, August 16th-19th, 6-8 p.m. Breakfast is served every Sunday morning 8:30 a.m.-9:30 a.m. Sunday School 9:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m. Pastor Paul Hagen. Super Church Pastor Chris Meenach 10:30 a.m. to noon. Morning Worship Service 10:30 a.m. to noon. Evening Worship Service 6 p.m. Wednesday Prayer Meeting Service 7 p.m. Childrens Bible Club, Wednesday, 7 p.m. Youth Meeting, Thursday, 6 p.m. with Ed Zeno.

* Community of Christ 2237 Russell Avenue West Portsmouth will welcome their brother-in-Christ, Elder Ed Cable, of the McDermott Community of Christ to share his ministry during the 10:30 AM Morning Worship Service on Sunday August 16. Priest Wayne Allen will develop the weekly World Church theme of “Sing to the Lord” with Priest Luanne Day presenting the musical selections for the service. Children’s Church will also begin at 10:30 AM. On Wednesday August 19 the Senior/Junior High Youth will meet at the branch for their bi-monthly meeting being hosted by Elder Kim Green and Priest Wayne Allen.

*The First Church of Christ, 1224 Dogwood Ridge Road, Wheelersburg, will have Sunday school at 9:30 a.m. and worship services at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 16. Rase Martin, minister, will teach during Sunday school and will preach during the morning and evening worship services. Ladies Bible Study will start at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18, at the office annex. All ladies are invited to attend Bible study. Christians on Local Tours will meet for lunch at noon Tuesday, Aug. 18, at Ponderosa, Ohio River Road, Wheelersburg. COLTS is open to anyone who would like to come and fellowship.

Rase Martin will have devotions at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19, at the River Bend House in Wheelersburg. The praise, prayer and Bible study service will begin at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19, and Rase Martin will be teaching. Helping Hands, ladies group, will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 20, at the office annex. Beata Zeune and Susan Wellman will be the hostesses, and Susan Wellman will give the devotion. To celebrate our minister’s first anniversary with this congregation, a carry-in dinner will be conducted to honor Rase Martin, his wife Terri and son Christian at noon Saturday, Aug, 22, in the church basement. Bring a covered dish and help this congregation celebrate. * Portsmouth First Church of the Nazarene, located at Third and Brown Streets Pastors Brian and Kelly’s last Sunday with us, as our Pastors. They have accepted the call to Mt. Vernon Nazarene, in Mt. Vernon, OH. Sunday, August 16, 10 a.m. – Bible Discovery – There is a class for all ages from Nursery through Adult. Right before class, donuts, coffee, milk and juice are served. Sunday, August 16, 11 a.m. – Morning Worship with Pastor Brian bringing his last message as our Pastor. We appreciate everything he and Pastor Kelly have done for PFNAZ and for his faithfulness in preaching the undiluted Word of God! We will miss them, Cody, Briley and Annabelle so much, and pray the Lord’s continued guidance in their lives. An interpreter for the deaf and hard of hearing is available at all services. Following Morning Worship, a pot luck dinner will be held, in the Daniels’ family honor. Tuesday, August 18, 3 – 5 p.m. – LCM Food Pantry hours are observed.

* Sedan Baptist Church located at 5300 Big Bear Creek Road. Sunday School at 10 am and Morning Worship at 11am. Wednesday nights at 7:30, the youth also meet at this time. A Unity Revival is planned with Bear Creek United Methodist and Outreach Ministries. The services will be as follows: August 2 at Sedan Baptist, August 9 at Bear Creek United Methodist, and August 16 at Outreach Ministries. Service time is 7 pm.
