Shawnee State University students participated in the Center for Community Service's Alternative Winter Break traveling to Chicago to volunteer with the Salvation Army from Dec. 14 to Dec. 21. Taking in the sights and sounds of Chicago, they spent the week attending community service activities, such as volunteering at a soup kitchen.
