The recipient of the Barbar Honors Poetry Scholarship fund at Shawnee State University, established in 2013 by SOMC's Dr. Thomas Khoury, has been named. Barbar was Dr. Khoury's uncle and an English and history professor. Poetry was his passion and all of his poems were hand written on boxes of tissues and scraps of paper. The first recipient of the fund is Zack Burton, history major, who writes creative non-fiction and fiction. In this photo he is weaving one of his stories during Celebration of Scholarship last year.
