Catapult Extravaganza


Teens will have the opportunity to build their own catapult and then test its’ engineering in a series of obstacles. Supplies provided by PPL. Supplies will be provided. Ages 13-18. Registration required.

Summer Reading Musical: Main Branch


Adult Summer Reading 2014 begins with a fun musical at the Portsmouth Public Library! Come join in the excitement! Join us June 4 at 4pm at the Portsmouth library location.


Potted Plants: Wheelersburg Branch


Summer is a great time to have plants around the house. Join us to decorate a planter and add a beautiful flower. It is free of charge but you must sign up in advance by calling 574-6116. Join us June 6 at 3:30 at the Wheelersburg library location.

The Information Technology Department of the Portsmouth Public Library will be offering a variety of computer classes this week. The schedule is as follows.


Monday, June 2- Photo Editing at 4pm


Tuesday, June 3-Microsoft Word at 1pm


Wednesday, June 4- Basic Computers at 1pm


Thursday, June 5-Tablets at 11am and Computers for Seniors at 3pm
