Ollie’s Bargain Outlet officially opened their doors to the public on Wednesday to much anticipation from the community.
“Ollie’s Bargain Outlet is America’s largest retailer of closeout excess inventory and salvage merchandise. We span over 16 states east of the Mississippi, the New Boston location is our 163rd store” said Jonathan Smith, Ollie’s Bargain Outlet District Manager for Southern Ohio. “You’ll find all kinds of great deals from closeouts to salvage merchandise. You have real name brand merchandise at bargain outlet prices.”
In conjunction with the grand opening Ollie’s brought in Kasey Kahne a NASCAR Driver to New Boston to sign autographs and meet with fans.
In anticipation of Kahnes arrival there were reports of several people starting to camp out at the location at 11 p.m. on Tuesday until around 5 a.m. on Wednesday, when tickets were given out to ensure Kahne’s autograph.
Smith said the anticipation Ollie’s opening from the New Boston community has been evident.
“It’s been interesting over the last couple of days talking to consumers, the people in the community. They are esthetic to have us here,” Smith said. “We’re a fast growing company and you’re really not going to find name brand goods at the prices we have. We value our consumers and the company works hard to bring that value and name brands to out consumer base.”
Several officials with the Village of New Boston were on hand to help cut the ribbon to mark the opening of the store.
Among the officials were Jim Warren, Mayor of the Village of New Boston, “I think it’s great to see the community coming out and supporting the opening of Ollie’s. This is going to help to revitalize the New Boston Mall.”
The hours of operation for New Boston location are Sunday 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. with the rest of the week 9 a.m. - 9 p.m.
