USEC Inc. has named Glenn Strausser to serve as manager of quality assurance at its American Centrifuge Plant. In this role, he will oversee independent oversight and assessment of the plant and will work to ensure the plant’s compliance with safety, safeguards and quality requirements. Strausser reports to Steven Penrod, vice president of enrichment operations. Strausser has served as director of engineering, procurement and construction for the American Centrifuge program since September 2010.
Strausser holds a bachelor of science in electrical engineering from Lehigh University and a master’s of business administration from the University of Phoenix.
Strausser has earned certifications from the American Society for Quality (ASQ) as a quality manager, a quality engineer, and a Six Sigma Black Belt. He has served on several local and state quality award boards, and he has presented on quality-related topics to global audiences. Prior to working at USEC, he was responsible for quality assurance related activities at Siemens, Johnson Controls and numerous Department of Energy facilities.
