Kids’ Events Announced
Tin Foil Art for Tweens
Join us at the Portsmouth library location as we learn to make individual artwork out of foil. Join us on January 9 at 4pm. Make sure to call ahead and reserve your spot. Call 740-354-5304.
Build it LEGO
Test your building skills in a fun filled hour with other Lego fans. Join us at the South Webster branch January 9 at 4pm. Ages 12 and under. We have Duplo blocks for the younger children. For more information call the South Webster Library at 778-2122.
Tail Waggin’ Tutors
Certified Therapy Dogs from the Southern Ohio All Breed Dog Club (and their owners) will be at various library locations. The dogs will be available to listen to any young reader wishing to practice their skills.
At Lucasville-Fridays from 3-5pm and the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month

Upcoming Adult/Teen Activities Announced
The Portsmouth Public Library will be hosting its Yoga group at 10am in the Copley Meeting Room on Tuesday, January 6.
Pieces & Patches Quilting
This quilting group welcomes beginners as well as experienced quilters. They will meet at the Lucasville Branch January 6 at 6pm. (this is an Adult Program).
Learn to Knit or Crochet Sashay scarves. Bring your Crochet or Knitting needles and sashay yarn. This is a basic course. Join the South Webster branch January 7 from 5:30 to 7pm. For more information call the South Webster Library at 778-2122.
Beginners Crocheting with Patricia Skaggs

Teen Personalized Magnet Craft
Calling all teens ages 13-18: join us as we make personalized marble magnets! Program is free; supplies are provided. Join us January 8 at 3:30pm at the South Webster location. For more information call the South Webster Library at 778-2122.
Adult Sign Language Basic Class
Ages 12 and up can join us to broaden basic sign language skills in an open and positive environment. The next class will meet January 10 at 3:30pm. The class meets twice a month at the Portsmouth location. It is free of charge but you must sign up in advance by calling 354-5688 ext. 0 or visiting the Reference Desk at the Main library.
Monthly Media Trivia
Every month PPL offers a new media themed trivia. Play a trivia each month to be entered to win the corresponding “books into movies” prize!

Watercolor entries for the February A.R.T. Gallery showing must be submitted to the library by January 25th to be included in the show.
