Meeting was called to order by Pres. Jim Riffe with the Secretary and Treasurer’s Report following. Larry Stone announced and presented $50.00 donation that Woody Underwood requested that he deliver to the club for the purpose of buying paint for the show ring. Elden Riffe then discussed the formation of committees as stated in the Club By-Laws and thereafter the body went through naming each such Committee and accepting parties to serve for said committees.
The Committees are as follows: Horse Show Committee, Food/Banquet Committee, Ring Maintance Committee, Trailhead Committee, Youth Activities Committee,Trail Ride Committee.
Committees shall meet amongst themselves to appoint a chairperson and to discuss horseshows, required maintenance, trailhead formation, etc. and shall present their proposals at the next regular monthly meeting. Announcement was made that the Annual Coggins Day hosted by the Stone Family will be held on Saturday April 5th beginning around 9:00 or 10:00 a.m. with Dr. Karr to provide coggins, immunizations and other general equine services at a reduced group rate cost. Meeting was thereafter adjourned.
There were 29 members present. With additional membership dues paid there is now a total of 52 members.
The next meeting is Tuesday April 1st at 7pm at the Lewis County extension office located at 284 2nd street in Vanceburg. Dates for Horse shows and trail rides will be set. There’s a lot happening with the club and it’s a great time to check us out! The RRSCLC is a nonprofit organization.
