As part of a major bridge rehabilitation project, the Scioto River Bridge on S.R. 348, located immediately east of S.R. 104 at Lucasville, will be closed one night next week for a deck pour.
The overnight closure will go into effect at 10 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, and continue until approximately 4 a.m. Thursday. While the route is closed, traffic will be detoured via S.R. 104 North to S.R. 32 East to U.S. 23 South. Operations will be contingent upon the weather, with the alternate date scheduled for Thursday, May 1.
Shelly and Sands was awarded a contract for approximately $2.6 million to rehabilitate the four-span structure, and throughout most construction, S.R. 348 will be reduced to one lane, and traffic will be maintained with temporary signals. All work associated with the project is anticipated to be completed in late fall.
