Community of Christ services


Community of Christ 2237 Russell Avenue West Portsmouth will be led at their 10:30 AM Morning Worship Service on Sunday June 29 by Elder Kim Green as she develops the weekly World Church theme of “Extend Welcome” with Teacher Luanne Day presenting the musical selections. Children’s Church will also begin at 10:30 AM.


Christ Brethren Church services


Christ Brethren Church 5877 St. Rt. 139 in Rubyville will be holding services on Sunday June 29 starting with morning services at 9:30 a.m. Sunday evening service at 7:00 p.m. A Wednesday evening service will be held at 7:00 p.m. with us studying in Revelation with Gerald Penix Pastor. Everyone welcome


Berean Baptist Church announcements


Each Thursday at 10 a.m. Ladies Bible Study with Christy Goodwin teaching. Adult choir practice on Sundays at 4:45 p.m. Seventeen teens left on Monday, June 23 for Camp @ The Wilds from June 23-28; June 29 Crown College Trio in the morning worship service with Missionary Bob McClain and communion in the evening service. Missionaries Dennis and Ruth Ann Flower on July 2. Cincinnati Reds Game on July 10. Celebrating anniversaries on July 2 are 54 years for Clarence and Barbara Hook and Adam and Alicia Porter three years; July 3 Loren and Paula Purdom 45 years and Charles and Holly Seibert 50 years on July 3. Special missionaries of the week are Gabriel and Susan Eiben, serving in the Marshall Islands (Micronesia) Pohnpei and supported by Berean since May 2013.


Portsmouth First Church of the Nazarene services


Pastors Brian and Kelly Daniels and the congregation of Portsmouth First Church of the Nazarene, located at Third and Brown Streets, invite you to come and be a part of their services this week.

Thursday, June 26, 6 p.m. - Meet at the church to attend the talent show of Joni and Friends, at Shawnee Lodge.


Saturday, June 28 - 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. - 2ND Annual “Free Market.” in conjunction with Revolution Church. We will have gently used clothing, toys, baby supplies, furniture, appliances, etc.


Sunday, June 29, 9:30 a.m. - Prayer time in the Sanctuary.


Sunday, June 29, 10 a.m. - Bible Discovery. There are classes for all ages from Nursery through Adult. Donuts, coffee, milk and juice are served prior to Bible Discovery.


Sunday, June 29, 11 a.m. - Morning Worship with Pastor Brian bringing the message. An interpreter for the deaf and hard of hearing is available at all services.


Tuesday, July 1, 3 - 5 p.m. - LCM Food Pantry hours are observed.


Wednesday, July 2, 6 p.m. - Children and Youth Ministries.


Wednesday, July 2, 6 p.m. - “God’s Comfort” - a study on how to deal with depression, defeat and fatigue and ending with a “stress-management” seminar presented by Mary Carol McCoy. This has been an AWESOME study so far! Mary Carol has been doing a great job leading this study!


McDermott Community of Christ services


McDermott Community of Christ will hold Church School service at 9:30am on Sunday with worship by Nancy Crabtree, followed by classes. The 10:45 worship service will be a prayer meeting with Pastor Ed Cable presiding. Priest Wanda Joslin will provide children’s ministry and Barb Koch will be pianist for the service. Bev Meadows will give the ministry of music.


Prayer service will be Wednesday at 7pm with Elder Sandy Cable presiding. A free lunch is served every Thursday at the church from 11am to 1pm. Everyone in the community is welcome.


Evangelical United Church of Christ services
