Preston Friend of Wheelersburg has been selected for a 2013 University of the Aftermarket Foundation Scholarship scholarship in the amount of $1,000.
Preston Friend plans to attend Ashland Community and Technical College Ashland, Ky. to study Diesel Technology.
“Preston Friend was selected from more than 500 applicants at a recent meeting of the scholarship selection committee. The Giobal Automotive Aftermarket Symposium, Inc, the University of the Aftermarket Foundation, and other donors and organizations have awarded more than 160 scholarships in 2013 and more than 1,700 since the beginning of the program in 1996. It is a privilege to support this program training people for careers in the automotive aftermarket,” said Peter Kornafel, Chairman, Scholarship Selection Committee.
