All opinions and views expressed in the following letters do not in any way reflect the opinions or views of the Community Common or Heartland Publications.

I have two questions for the "Powers That Be" to answer:

1. Why has there never been a sign erected upon entering Scioto County that states: "Home of Ted Strickland, First Governor in the history of Scioto County"?

2. Why is there no "MURAL"/"STAR" to honor Ted Strickland as there is for two of our other former Scioto County natives-Roy Rogers and Branch Rickey?

Apparently there is no money for this, but we've got the "Bicycle Tour Murals"-which does help the economy one weekend of the year-but our Governor works 365 days/year trying to straighten out the "mess" he inherited.

We should all-get behind him and support him because, after all- he is one of us!
