The University of Rio Grande RedStorm men’s soccer team returns to the NAIA National Tournament for the ninth consecutive year, earning an at-large bid to the 32-team field.  For the second straight year, Rio Grande will host a first round game on Saturday (November 21) at Evan Davis Field versus Lindenwood University (MO).  Kick-off is set for 1 p.m.

Rio Grande (15-3-2) enters the tournament as the No. 3 seed.  The RedStorm are certainly no stranger to the nationals having appeared in the championship tournament every year since 2001.  Rio won the National Championship in 2003 and lost in the title game last year in overtime to Bethel (TN).  Rio has been to three national semifinals.

Rio’s overall mark in the national tournament is 13-6-1.
