Hill View Retirement Center scholarship awarded

Hill View Retirement Center Resident Scholarships for 2014 have been awarded to Jamie Hagen Rockwell and Lyndsey Joy Wells, employees of the retirement facility.Rockwell, a resident of South Webster, has received a $3,000 scholarship to pursue a Master’s of Science in Social Administration at Case Western University. She is a 1994 graduate of Northwest High School.Wells, who lives in South Shore, Kentucky, is the recipient of a $2,000 scholarship which she will use to complete a degree in practical nursing and an associate’s degree in Health Sciences at Ashland Community and Technical College. She graduated from Greenup County High School in 2010.

South Central Ohio Gas Prices Tick Up

South Central Ohio gas prices rose five cents a gallon to $3.46 this week, according to AAA East Central’s Fuel Gauge Report.AAA East Central surveys more than 211 gas stations in South Central Ohio on a weekly basis. It says the cheapest gas was in Marietta at $3.296 a gallon for regular unleaded and the most expensive gas was in Washington Court House at $3.542.
