Junior Sara Armstrong (Sylvania, OH) blew the competition away as she won the meet in a time of 18:16, finishing 36 seconds ahead of the rest of the field. Junior Brittney LiPira (Thornville, OH) placed third in a time of 18:54, while sophomore Kasey Hosier (Springfield, OH) ran the course in 19:06 to place sixth overall. Freshman Ashley Peters (Mt. Gilead, OH) ran the course in a personal best of 19:44 to place 11th overall. Freshman Sarah Ruggles (Franklin Furnace, OH) placed 14th as she finished the course in a time of 20:01. Juniors Amanda Burton (Waverly, OH) and Brianna McCauley (Canton, OH) rounded out the Bears scoring as they placed 16th and 17th in times of 20:17 and 20:31.
Armstrong, LiPira, and Hosier each earned Mid-South Conference honors.
Shawnee State will compete in their second ever NAIA National Meet on Saturday, November 20.
