Candy Run United Baptist Church will be celebrating their 100th anniversary on

October 7, 2012 with services beginning at 10:00am. A history of the church will be provided to those attending. Following the worship service lunch will be served at the Minford Community Center. There a DVD will be shown depicting events and

pictures of former and present members of the Candy Run Church . A DVD will be

given to those desiring one.

The church founders began meeting in a one room school house near Lucasville. A building was erected on Candy Run Rd, in 1936 and remains at the same location.

The church is .3 miles off Lucasville-Minford Rd. Elder Sandy Phillips served as

pastor of the church for forty one years. Elder Therman Rigsby is the current

pastor of the church and Elder David Thompson is the assistant pastor.
