Chillicothe (Wednesday, November 28, 2012) – Contractors for the Ohio Department of Transportation will impart restrictions on state Route 139 in Scioto County today, November 28, for a slip repair project in Portsmouth.

Crews from the Alan Stone Company will reduce S.R. 139 to one lane at 1.20-mile marker, which is just south of the northern corporation limit of Portsmouth. The project site is situated between Munn Street and Township Road 165 (Hinkley Hollow Road), and at approximately 11 a.m. today, the contractors will begin setting barrier wall to restrict the route to a single, nine-foot lane.

Alan Stone of Cutler, Ohio, was awarded a contract in the amount of approximately $645,929 to repair the slip with drilled shafts and pavement work, and throughout construction, traffic will be maintained with the use of temporary signals.
