• Services at the First Church of Christ, 1224 Dogwood Ridge Road, Wheelersburg, on Sunday, Dec. 23, will include Sunday school at 9:30 a.m. and worship at 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Christmas Eve service on Monday, Dec. 24, will begin at 7 p.m. and the service will conclude with a prayer circle.

Ladies’ Tuesday Bible study has been canceled for this week. The Praise, Prayer and Bible Study will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 26. For more informatoin about these events or the congregation, call the church office at (740) 574-5031 or Randy Wickham, minister, at (740) 574-1931.

• The Evangelical United Church of Christ invites you to join us for our weekly church service. This Sunday, at 10am, Rev. Tom Williams will be presenting a sermon entited “Putting the Christ in Christmas”.

• Cedar St Church of Christ in Christian Union, 4207 Cedar St, New Boston, Will be presenting “The Wondrous Gift” Christmas play Sunday December 23 at 6pm

• Portsmouth First Church of the Nazarene, located at Third and Brown Streets in Portsmouth, Sunday, December 23, 10 a.m. - Donuts, Coffee, Milk and Juice are served in the Fellowship Hall.

Sunday, December 23, 10:30 a.m. - Morning Worship with Pastor Brian Daniels bringing the message. An interpreter for the deaf and hard of hearing is available at all services. We are also, still continuing our Local Compassionate Ministries Food Drive, to replenish the shelves of our food pantry to help those in need.

Sunday, December 23, 10:30 a.m. - Children’s Church. Our new series is “Professor Playtime’s Christmas Shop of Wonders.” Every Sunday we will learn about a part of the Christmas story, as we explore subject such as bravery, kindness, obedience, joy, patience, generosity and evangelism.

• Christ Brethren Church 5877 St. Rt. 139 will be holding services on Sunday December 23 starting with morning services at 9.30 a.m. Sunday evening services at 7:00 p.m. A Wednesday evening service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Everyone Welcome with Bob Davis Pastor.

• The Congregation and Pastor of Lucasville Community of Christ, on Sunday December 23,2012, as we celebrate the “Birth of Jesus Christ.” This is the fourth Sunday of Advent - “Joy.” Elder Paul Crabtree will bring the morning message and develop the theme “REJOICE.” A Christmas Eve Service will celebrate the “Birth of Jesus” with an evening of music, and a Manager Scene, 10:00 p.m. Lenora Webb and Donna Gregory in charge of this service.

We begin Sunday morning with a few minutes of fellowship and refreshments at 9:30 am, Sunday School at 9:45 am. and Worship Servce at 10:30 am.

• Community of Christ 2237 Russell Avenue West Portsmouth will JOYfully continue their Advent Journey with the focus on Joy as Priest Carol McGraw develops the weekly theme of “Rejoice! and brings forth the Morning Message at their 10:30 AM Morning Worship Service on Sunday December 23. Music will be provided by Teacher Luanne Day during the service. The Saints will celebrate the forthcoming babe at their “Candlelight Christmas Eve Service” on Monday December 24 beginning at 6 PM.

• McDermott Community of Christ young adults will present a Christmas program on Sunday at 10:45am. The program will be directed by Sandy Cable, with special music by Erica Eddleman and the choir, directed by Barbara Koch. Prior to the program, church school will begin at 9:30am with worship by Barbara Koch. Prayer service will be held on Wednesday with Pete Coburn presiding. The church offers a free lunch every Thursday between 11am and one pm. Everyone in the community is invited.

• Berean Baptist Church, Winchester and Bloom Sciotoville, Sunday Services:

Kevin Gullion speaking in the p.m. service. The Annual Christmas Eve Candlelight Service will be December 24 at 7:00 p.m. There will be no Wednesday Night Prayer Service on December 26.

• Rosemount Community Church of Christ in Christian Union is proud to introduce to Portsmouth, Ohio their new Pastor and Family. Rob and Anne Krebbs along with their boys, Philip, Preston and Porter are excited to be back in the Portsmouth area.

Rob and Anne bring their family back to Portsmouth from Farmington, New Mexico near the Four Corners area. Their focus is going to be centered around Worship, Children & Teens, and Outreach. Anne with her degree in education focuses on the Children’s ministry at RCC and Rob with his excitement for sharing the gospel puts his emphases on preaching real and relevant messages that focus on issues that people deal with in everyday encounters.
