St. Peter’s Over 55 Club met Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, with a covered

dish dinner being served. Fr. Joe Yokum gave the blessing before the meal.

John Pendland, president, led the pledge to the flag, and conducted

the meeting.

The secretary’s report was given in absence of Marguerite Russell,

and was approved. Valeric Gill, treasurer, gave a report, which was

approved.

Mary Book, USSA representative, slated that the HEAP (Winter) program,

will be in effect :” .. Nov., 2012 thru March 30, 2013. She also explained

about the Refrigerator or Freezer Replacement Program - if you have one

more than ten years old and not energy efficient. If you have any*questions

contact Mary Book at 740-354-6672.

Mary Book also cautioned everyone to beware of scams ai-iu nuc to give

out personal information over the phone if you are not the one who initiated

the call.

Mary E. Flanagan read two poems about Christmas, one composed by

Charles E. Clevenger, a local poet and writer.

The group also participated and enjoyed in a Christmas game, song-quiz.

Door prizes were won by Kai-ii^ y-n Evans and Mary E. Flanagan, and the

meeting adjourned after saying the Lord’s prayer.

The next meeting wll be held Monday, January 14 at 12:00 Noon. Any

new members or guests are urged to attend.
