The Northwest Board of Education met for their Organizational/Regular Meeting on

Thursday, January 10, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. m the Northwest High School Media Center.

The Board conducted die following business:

• Passed a resolution to elect Edward Cable as Board President for 2013.

• Passed a resolution to elect Jake Orlett as Board Vice-President for 2013.

• Passed a resolution to establish regular meeting date, time, and place for 2013.

• Passed a resolution to set compensation for Board members.

• Passed a resolution to establish Service Fund for 2013.

• Passed a resolution to delegate authority to Treasurer for 2013,

• Passed a resolution to delegate authority to Superintendent for 2013.

• Passed a resolution to delegate authority to Principals for 2013.

• Passed a resolution to set Board Committee appointments for 2013.

• Passed a resolution to conduct Budget Hearing and adopt budget for next fiscal year from July 1, 2013 through June 30,2014.

• Passed a resolution to approve the minutes of the Regular meeting on December 18, 2012.

• Passed a resolution to approve reports.

• Passed a resolution to employ substitute teachers for the 2012-2013 school year.

• Passed a resolution to adopt certified salary index for the 2012-2013 school year.

• Passed a resolution to set certified salary schedule for the 2012-2013 school year.

• Passed a resolution to adopt Board policies,

• Passed a resolution to revise and adopt Board policies.

• Passed a resolution to set 2013 graduation date for May 26,2013 at 2:00 pm in the Northwest High School gymnasium.

• Passed a resolution to approve volunteer supplemental personnel.

• Passed a resolution to establish a NHS Girls’ soccer team.

• Passed a resolution to employ classified substitute personnel for the remainder of the 2012-2013 school year.

The next regular board meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at

6:00 pm in the Northwest High School Media Center.
