The New Boston Board of Education met in regular session on Jan. 10 and took action on the following items,

Elected Elaine Evans as President.

Elected Nancy Clever as Vice-President.

Appointed Johnnie Whisman as GAA representative.

Appointed Ann Gilley as Legislative Liaison and Patty Fannin as Student Liaison to OSBA.

Approved membership in OSBA for 2013.

Approved bills paid, investment report, financial report and bank reconciliation for December 2012.

Approved budget for FY14.

Accepted resignation of Donna M. Grimm, effective 7/31/13.

Approved health care staffing agreement with Interim Health Care.

Recognized Board Members.

Recognized the following:

Superior Rating at Science Fair

Isaac Dever, Tanner Voiers and Bryce Toomire

Americanism and Government Test – County Winners

Audriana Lindamood, Cody Poole and Taylor Baldridge

Disney on Radio

Mrs. Mary Waugh

Discussed guns in schools (armed staffer) and ALICE program.

Adopted emergency procedures.

Employed substitute teachers

Approved purchase of digital on demand video distribution system (OSFC).

Approved contract with johnnie Steele for auction services.

Approved the following supplemental contracts and volunteers:

Chris Bender – Softball Coach

Scott Perdas – Volunteer Softball Coach

Jimmy Bailey – Baseball Coach

Cody Bender – Volunteer Baseball Coach

Josh Holbrook and Tyler Sanford – Volunteers in Baseball Program

The New Boston Board of Education will have a meeting on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at 6:00 p.m.
