Senior Olympics

The Senior Olympics are being held Thursday, September 17th at the Fairgrounds with 12 Ohio and three Kentucky Counties competing. This event is totally free.

McGraw Fall Basketball League

McGraw's Fall Basketball League begins Sunday, September 13. Boys and Girls grades 7-12 start 1 p.m. Sunday, Boys and girls Grades 1-6 start at 3 p.m. Sunday. For more information call 352-1407 or visit www.mcgrawleague.net

3rd Annual Ohio Open

The 3rd Annual Ohio Open will take place Friday, September 11 at Shawnee Golf Course. The shamble will be at 11 a.m. a 50/50 drawing will be after dinner on Saturday. On Saturday, September 12 the event will take place at the Elk's Country Club with a shamble at 10 a.m. on Sunday, September 13 the event will take place at the Shawnee Golf Course with a scramble 7:30 a.m.

Kentucky Mudcats

The Kentucky Mudcats will host fall baseball for area players between the ages of 7-9. The 10U teams will start September 6 and will run through Nov. 1st. The 8U teams will begin August 16th and run through September 19th. Newville Little League

Newville Little League will hold its annual meeting and election for 2010 on Monday, Sept. 14 at 5:30 p.m. at New Boston Little League Park. All parents and community members are encouraged to attend. For more information call Brian Holbrook at 456-5561.

Portsmouth-West Presale Tickets

Presale tickets for the PHS-West football game Saturday at the new Trojan Coliseum will be on sale Monday through Friday. Tickets are $5 for adults and students, $4 for people age 62 and older. Tickets can be purchased in the main office at Portsmouth High School during school hours. Gates will open at 6 p.m. Saturday.

Tri-State Sports Baseball/Softball Pinic

The Greater Southern Ohio Tri-State Sports baseball/softball picnic will be held Saturday, Sept. 12 at American Legion Post 23. It will start around noon.
