After a fire and months of renovations After The Game, is open and ready to serve the needs of the community.
"Since the fire we have completely renovated." Marty Penix, owner of After The Game said. "We now have a private party room. We are also offering home cooked food which we never did before."
The fire that caused the renovations was in December of 2007. According to published reports the fire caused extensive damage to the structure. It was suspected the fire was cause by the deep fryer.
At After The Game they now offer breakfast all day.
All of the home cooked food is made from scratch.
"We have changed from what we used to be. We no longer offer just pizzas and subs," he said. "We now offer everything from biscuits and gravy in the morning to roast beef in the evening. Along with the pizza and traditional subs."
"We a have a signature pizza, the BLT," he said. "We have people from South Shore that come and get our pizza."
Another added feature that came with the renovations is a t-shirt and banner shop.
After The Game opened on March 12 after renovations.
He said the community is beginning to notice that they are open again.
The hours of operation are 8 a.m. - 9 p.m. Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. - 10 p.m. on Saturday and 8 a.m.- 9 p.m. on Sunday. He said they will stay open later on Friday nights after the football games.
